RAMADAN HOUSE CLEANING

The Blessed month of Ramadan is here again. Are you ready? Is your home in shape for the holy month?

Here are a few tips  from what i usually do to help you get started.

  1. Clean before Ramadan: It is highly advisable to clean your house thoroughly and completely right before the start of Ramadan as you should be welcoming this month with freshness and cleanliness. If you didn't do it before the starting of the month, now is a good time. Launder curtains, bed linens etc.
  2. Clean kitchen thoroughly, (you will be doing a lot of cooking and hosting)
  3.  Arrange your pantry
  4. Morning hours are best to clean your home. In Ramadan mornings your mind is not occupied with the thoughts to prepare lunch. So you are free to clean your home.
  5. Ask the men and woman of the family to got through their wardrobes and donate the clothes they no longer wish to wear. One persons cast offs are a poor persons treasure.

And to make your housework easier during Ramadan, write up a general housework list and even assign jobs to people in your family.

Finally, don't get all caught up with cleaning and forget your last minute shopping. Don't forget to stock up on  groceries and items you use regularly
